The East Shore Drive

Today we did the East Shore Drive and it is supposed to be done in one day but truely I needed two or three but then there is always going to be next time.
First stop Point Prim, we climbed to the top of the lighthouse, stairs were a little steep but I made it.

Just outside the lighthouse. Oh I forgot to tell you that once a year the province has a 70 mile yardsale and guess what today is the day, cars everywhere, but kinda of fun to see.

Next stop Woods Island, this is where the ferry departs from to go to Nova Scotia, it was just pulling out as we arrived.
Oh, oh, guess what they had a nice provincial park with a lighthouse.

Just down the road a really nice spot for lunch.

Cape Bear is just around the corner from Murray Harbour where our distant cousin Wayne Somers had his muscle buisness.

Panmure Island is where the red sands meet the white sands and yes they were speckled.

Beautiful Beaches on this Eastern Shore.

If you could only see the fields of potatoes that are being harvested, they go on and on and on.

Most of the time they look like they go right into the ocean.

Next time I come I want to go to the Iles de Madeleine, if you have never looked at a picture of them go on the internet, they look fantastic. My list of coming back to is getting pretty long.

At the end of the Island is East Point.

This is where the Atlantic meets the St. Lawrence in the Northumberland Straight, just look at the waters swirling, they say it is one of the most difficult places to navigate.

This little fellow was just sitting around.
