A day in Fort Louisbourg

What a gorgeous day yesterday, 28 degrees with a light breeze, a little different from what we expect today.
We visitied the fortress of Louisbourg and had a great visit, the people dressed up in period costume do such a good job.

We had a lunch of pea soup and bread and then we went back to the bakery and bought two loaves of bread, yummy stuff.

After leaving the fort we went out to the spot where the first Canadian Lighthouse was ever build, unfortunately that lighthouse only lasted two years and the one here is actually the third built on this spot.

The coast was spectacular. the waves were getting a little bigger as the storm grows closer.

We have had a very quiet evening but will start putting in the slides around lunch as they say we are going to take on some pretty good winds. The campground is prepared, all the picnic tables have been placed on their tops and we are not close to any trees so I do not think we will have a problem.
