Pictou

After a leisurely uprising we decided to go toward Pictou to see what there was to see.

Tatamagouche was a cute town, a little larger than we expected, many people out this morning as it is Saturday and they are all at the farmers markets.

Down the road a short way we came across a small vegetable stand and got some great produce, she was pretty talented with the flower beds as well.

I told them they were going to be on my blog and they said that was okay as long as it was not America's most wanted.

Down the road I spied a sign for Maple Syrup, now we bought some in Ontario but thought we better try that of Nova Scotia as well. The couple at the farm were just so friendly we had to go in and get acquainted. The farm was a blast, animals everywhere, here are a couple that got rather close to the truck.

And this fellow would not keep quiet, he was some upset we were in his territory.

We made it to Pictou and it was a wonderful Scotish town with a touristy waterfront.

In 1773, 200 Highland Scots arrived on the Hector and this was the start of a wave of Scottish immigration to Nova Scotia.

Spent the afternoon back at camp sitting in the glorious sunshine watching the sailboats on in Tatmagouche Bay, how could things get better.
