Ferry to Newfoundland

Well, no one slept much last night, I think we should have stayed at the ferry terminal and left on the 530am boat, as it was we left the campground at 6am and sat at the dock until 830am when they started to board and we sailed at 930am.
The clouds look bad but it was very warm out and as we sailed the clouds stayed behind.

The caravan that was at the campground last night caught the same ferry this morning so the ferry was very full.

Ron and Larry went up on deck first and took pictures as we left North Sydney, Nova Scotia.

We dressed in warmer cloths as we figured it was going to be cooler on the water, well what a surprise, we were certainly overdressed it was dang well warm to hot on the outside decks, made you think you were sailing in the Caribbean.

The sailing was six hours long but very smooth and we kept ourselves busy, even got in a snooze. The lunch was a buffet and was very very good.

We arrived into Port aux Basques at 3pm and as the sun was shining it was a sight to be seen.

Our campground is about 30 minutes east on Hwy 1 and is a very lovely park, we are going to be here for a week so will get in lots of looking around.
