Well Dani and Sean could not have been any luckier as they managed to have another sunny day for their brunch.
Yes the Hendersons and Heals fed us once more and it was so tasty.
Here is Sean digging in
We had to say our goodbyes to the bride and groom, such a lovely couple. I was so excited to see their new house I forgot to take pictures, but believe me it was beautiful.
However off we go on our next journey traveling south through North and South Dakota to Sioux Falls for the night, a long drive but wanted to be set to do lots of research the next day.
Fargo North Dakota
The next bit of research is all Elaine's moms family.
First to a very small community in Martin County, Minnesota called Welcome.
Here Henry and Marie Klusendorf resided with their family. This would be Elaines great great grandparents, they came to America from Germany.
Downtown Welcome has a water fountain from 1914, horses drank from one side and people from the other.
Off to Iowa, this is the welcome Center just across the line.
Edmund and Louisa Fish moved to Fayette County in 1856 from Illinois. We could not believe how lucky we were to find their gravesites and their original property was about a mile right behind us. Edmund raised Clydesdale horses in Hawkeye Iowa.
It was a beautiful setting.
We are spending the night at Dyersville Iowa, heading for Illinois in the morning.
