Nice to be right on the beach but when the winds blow you really feel it, we were up early and put some slides in and the TV dish down.
Our beach is lovely, first pictures is looking toward the rocky point of La Cholla.
Then looking in the other direction toward Puerto Penasco.
We are close to the beach but not beachfront difference of 15.00 dollars.
First off this morning we decided to take a drive into La Cholla or Choya Bay as the sign says.
Many lovely homes most overlooking the sea.
And lots of bright colors, yellow, oranges and blues.
Back past our campground, you can go dry camp right on the beach for 5.00 no amenities.
They are supposed to have a good restaurant but we did not try it.
Heading out the gate it looks so desolate and with the wind blowing so bad it was a white out.
Down in the old port with all its shops and things, the wind is producing a lovely surf. The building is The Point restaurant, we had lunch, very good.
What would lunch be without a margarita, oh they had strawberry, just like desert.
Was so windy outside the restaurant we had to hold on to our hats.
Now a little walk down the plaza, look at those rollers.
And the palm trees, just blowing in the breeze.
It was very beautiful and clean.
The guys
Looking back toward our campground.
The waves were creating quite a formation of foam on the beach.
Then to do some shopping, the fish markets were wonderful, got shrimp and crab to take home, yummy.
Great first day in Puerto Penasco
