This morning we needed to have something to pick up our spirits so we decided a walk was in order. We got our laundry done and hung to dry in the wind and then took off. Going about 3 miles across the desert before we dropped down to a beautiful little bay protected from the fierce winds we are getting today.
Already we are feeling better.
Look here at how the winds have blown this little plant around that it has made an imprint in the sand.
The view was spectacular and the seas were heavy today.
Since it was so well protected we sat for awhile and enjoyed a coffee together.
We decided to walk back along the beach and kept hearing this roar of birds, finally coming across a big selection of gulls, pelicans, cormorants etc. all on this spit with their heads facing the wind.
The desert is becoming alive and the cholla are getting lovely green in color.
We had to take a detour from our path as we came across 5 big buzzards that had themselves a kill and we did not want to get into the middle of this.
Aww, yes the ocotillo are starting to bloom as well, so lovely
Nice walk just over 3 hours and just what the therapist ordered.
