The last couple days in Kino Bay have been cooler and windy but we have made the best of it.
Ron and I have been walking the beach, it is usually very private with not a sole to see except someone driving.
We have an on going bongo ball tournament going on, I am not to tell you what spot Isabelle and Ron are in.
Ron and Doug
Lucille and Marmaduke
Yesterday Ron and I got prepared for a long walk way down to Christmas point and set off at 920am, wind was a little better and it was a little warmer out. Just got down to the beach and this pelican greeted us.
Found a jelly fish up on the shore.
We were prepared, left keys and a radio with the neighbors in case we had problems they could come get us but about three quarters of a mile out we realize we have lost our radio and had to turn back. Ron found it almost back to the coach, oh well we start off again half an hour later. Here comes Ron back down the beach.
Ron having a rest, very little driftwood here, as you can guess very few trees.
Some fishermen must have been down and made themselves a little shelter, left behind a few traps and the sand was taking over.
We walked for two more hours and got to the point and knew we had to turn around as we would never get back. On the return I caught a heron on top of the cactus, always amazes me how they can stand up there.
We also found a skull with some very large teeth, Ron thought it might be that of a seal or sea lion.
We also found a sailboat.
We tried to sail it but the wind kept flipping it over and over.
We were gone a total of five hours and were very tired when we got back. Had a good shower and then went off to potluck at the clubhouse. Today we are going into town and out for supper, oh sounds good. Weather has improved and guess what no wind today.
