What a wonderful day we had yesterday, Fogo Island was a delight, we only wished we had more time. As it was we left the campground at 7:30am to catch the 9am ferry and it was quite full.
One fellow told me before I went that you did not need to take your chainsaw and he was correct there were not much for trees.
There are 10 communities on the Island and 2500 people with the town of Fogo being the largest.
We headed off for the town of Tilting first.
It is actually a National Heritage site and was a very good Newfoundland experience.

There were many of the old fishing stages left in the harbour.
Curtis and I walked out to the Dwyers fishing stage and it was a little shaky.
Our lunch spot was perfect and we enjoyed the time just to sit an relax.
Just like this scene with all the little boats(punts) in a row.
Coming back through Joe Batt's Arm and Barr'd Island we came across this empty old church.
In Fogo we found a couple drying their fish and taking their boat out of the water
At the edge of town there were two great walks but we did just not have the time if we were to catch the 4pm ferry back to the Farrell.
