Hello to everyone back home, we have had some fabulous weather, at one point in the truck today it registered 88 degrees F or 31 C, so nice.
Anyway we took a drive today to the other side of Old Kino to what I will call a spit, Isobell knew of a beach where we could find some shells.
Along the way we came across a spot where a truck must have lost a bit of his load of conch shells, we should have picked some up, they were beautiful.
The Osprey will gather anything possible to make their nests, there were nests on most of the power poles, can you see the little head peeking out but look at all the garbage they have in there.
This fellow posed for me.
The beach was beautiful and went on for miles, here we are looking back down the beach and you can see Bahia de Kino in the background, if you wanted to you could walk the miles of beach back to town.
Now our beach has shells and we gather a few nice ones that we find but this beach was a mass of shells, we laughed at how hard we had looked at home and here they were everywhere.
I think this is an old dead jellyfish but not absolutely certain.
Look at that beach just covered, everywhere you walked.
We went over to the otherside of the spit and here it was more evident the tide was out but the boats are not in good shape, the boat on the left is an old Polica Federale. The mass in the front if the picture is an old rotten keel as they are just left there to rot.
The locals are very religious and you will see shrine everywhere, here is one made with hundreds of shells.
On our way back into Kino we went via a very poor part of town and it was so sad for us to see how they live, but one must remember they are happy.
We also found a few buzzards or vultures, whatever.
We went off to the supermarket to pick up a few things and had a little fun with a couple young boys practicing their English, met a nice couple from Utah. Off to dinner, Ron had stuffed fish, it was stuffed with shrimp, crab and octopus, I had Cameron Bacanaro, which was an excellent shrimp dish made with Tequila, and of course the famous margaritas. Great day.
