WW II Museum and tours

Hello again from New Orleans, another fantastic day in the city.

Normally we take the shuttle from the RV park into the city but because we had so much planned for today we decided to drive and it was relatively easy and we found a place to park, we stayed for 15 hours and only cost 25 dollars which is the cost of a taxi fare one way so we were okay with this.

Our first stop this morning was the WW II museum for Ron, we watched a fantastic 4D movie and then we into the museum. At 12:30 Tanya and I left Ron at the museum and walked all the way to the Garden District to take a walking tour. The tour was good, the area so beautiful, the group was a little large so a little hard to hear everything.
First stop on the tour was the Layfette Cemetry and there was an open tomb so we got to see inside.

The homes were mostly over 15,000 square feet and some owned by famous folks such as the one below, Sandra Bullocks house.

This is the Palm they take to church on Palm Sunday, they burn it there and then on Ash Wednesday they put the ash print on their forehead, we are learning lots.

Doesn't this one look like a postcard

To get back to the WWII museum to pick up Ron we took the streetcar, it cost 1.25 but was so packed, quite an experience.

It was almost 5pm when we got back to the museum and Ron had just finished, good timing.
After dinner we took the Haunted New Orleans tour which was very interesting. Tanya was dissappointed as she was going with two non believers but we saw some interesting things. My camera is pretty good, I was able to pick up lots of orbes in just the right places.
The orbes are the spots in the picture, and they move constantly, I took this shot and got these two but took the same shot seconds later and they were gone, hmmm intersting.

Well off on a drive today along the mighty Mississippi to see a few plantations, looking forward to it, should be mid 70's just perfect.
