Cape Canaveral

Florida, we finally made it, and yes it is warm, a little humid but not bad. The RV park we are in is called Jetty Park and is right where the cruise ships come in, we can see the launch pad from here but the shuttle has been delayed until Dec 17 so we will not see that. It rained so hard last night but it was still 75 degrees when we woke up.

Sorry, lots of bird pictures today but they are so different and interesting.
The Pelicans are everywhere.

This is looking back at our beach from the fishing pier.

We got to see dolphins, a fellow told us that there were manatees this morning down by the Indian River bridge but when we went to look for them they were gone.
This little fellow was not shy at all.

Buzzard or Vulture, I am not sure but look at them airing themselves out, lots of them here as well.

The fishing pier, this afternoon when we took our lawn chairs and drink over to watch the channel there were lots of fishermen but we did not see much for catch.

Now this is how to go fishing.

Going to go tomorrow to the Kennedy Space Center and the fellow that fixed our truck today told of us a great grill to get Rock Shrimp so we will be busy.

  1. Glad to see you made it safe and sound to Florida. We love reading how your trip is going. Where will you be for Christmas?
