Our last day in Mass. and we have to get in Plymouth, the skies are clear but they are warning of some rain this afternoon.
Plymouth was quiet except for a few school buses, we were able to park in a parking lot close to down town.
Right behind the car park was the first burial ground for the Pilgrims.
The Howland House is the oldest still standing home that a Pilgrim actually lived.
Ron checks out the nice looking ride.
The Pilgrims chose this spot for their settlement as there was fresh water, their first homes were built along this stream.
In the park is the monument for the Pilgrim women.
We find the rock and knew that it was not going to be big so were not surprised, can you see the crack in it, at one time the rock was split so that a part of it could be displayed at city hall but after some thought it was put back together.
The decendants of the Mayflower society is a very big organization and here is the building they operate out of.
The Mayflower itself.(or a replica of it that is)
The rock is well guarded from souvenier thiefs.
