The South Shore

This morning we woke up to three interesting visitors, one had some pretty interesting coloring, sorry the picture is bad quality, had to take it through the window as I did not want to scare them off.

Our last day in this area so we headed a little more south to do some places not so popular to the tourist.
Port Medway had a nice park right in the harbour with their lighthouse.

Around the loop ended us in Liverpool, it was a gorgeous city with many historical homes. They are known for the Privateering which went on in the 1700's, which was where private war ships went out to catch the enemy and returned them to the king for a fee.

This little mink, skittered down the rocks and slipped into the water, swam out, dove down and came back with his lunch, climbed back out on the rock and had lunch.

The town is very well done up, one could spend much time here.

Out by the Fort Point Lighthouse

We moved on around the loop and found Summerville, they had a lovely 1 km beach and the sand was just like flour.

Now Shelburne was a real treat, they have kept the waterfront in the historic form and it was lovely, it was here that the English Loyalists left the US after the American Revolution and the town grew from nothing to over 16000 in a matter of months. Very lovely.

My little kiddie

Our last stop was Lockporte, here there is a street where builder Jacob Locke hadbuilt five beautfiul homes on one street. Here is one of them.

A couple lighthouses from the village.

They had five beautiful beaches, it was a beautiful place to live.
