Odanah Wisconsin to Sault Ste Marie Michigan

So here we are in Sault Ste Marie Michigan, we are going to stay two nights and catch up with all the time changes. We are staying yet again at another casino, this time the Kewadin, right in Sault Ste Marie, they charge 10 dollars per night and provide electricity, showers etc. On top of that the hotel at the casino has a wonderful pool and spa which we can also use, very nice indeed.

The sky was blue again today and made the trip across the top of Michigan very pleasant.

We stopped for our picnic lunch just east of Marquette at a road side stop, right on the shore of Lake Superior, it was a lovely spot. Met a rural school teacher who brought her one grade oner and one kindergarten student on a field trip to the shore for a picnic, they were so much fun to watch splashing in the waters on the beautiful beach.
Do you see the little fellow hidding in the grasses?

  1. Beautiful! Is this area (on Lake Superior) considered Michigan's "Cottage Country"?
