Caliente Springs Desert Hot Springs

Here we are all set up in our new park, oh I love Palm Springs

The park is nice, lots of green grass and water displays, it has a small golf course right in
the middle.
But my favorite are the hot pools, I think there are six pools in total

 The Clubhouse
Oh and of course our spot
Went to downtown Palm Springs this morning and wandered around, then we bought our tickets
for the Follies show(last year they are going to preform)
On the way home on the corner they were selling strawberries, oh they taste so wonderful and
sweet.
Did I already say how much I love Palm Springs, especially at Christmas.

Cibola Nature Refuge

This first picture is the Ehrenberg Cemetery which is just across the street from our campground and had a geocache so of course we had to go get it.

Went to see what birds we could find at the Cibola Nature Refuge, a little disappointed as we have seen more at other times but it was still a nice day out with Rienk and Lona/

Caught these cranes just taking flight
A pretty walk the trees are turning color

The little burrowing owl looking to see what we were looking at.
The cotton is ripe and the fields were a sea of white.

A great day in the sunshine

When we decided to to go geocaching this morning we did not realize that the heat was going to be in the 90's but what a day we had.
Our first set was a series called HMD Heart of the Mojave Desert, the series is over 1000 caches and we
completed the first section of 80.

After that section we turned down California 95 and did the River Run Series, how about
this cute cache called Big Budda Buddy.

This cache was placed in an old torpedo.
Now this was unique, the cache was called Revenge of the Desert Crab.
A quick side trip to show Clyde and Jane the Blythe Intaglios, quite an amazing piece of history.
Started at 9 this morning and crawled home after 6pm, very good day.

A Day of Geocaching

Off we go this morning for some more geocaching, this series was called PLR for Power Line Road, most were relatively easy however we missed three which may not have even been there.
A little side trip up a hill to a cache called Beer Hill, a nice vantage to see out across the desert.

Next cache was called Flaky, it was a hillside of shale rock and of course we ended up climbing up the wrong side when we could have driven up the back side, never fails.
We decided it was a great place for our picnic lunch.

Always amazes me how the cactus can grow out of pure rock.
Here we are with our brand new jeeps, were we not surprised to find we both bought the same vehicle same color.
The Lone Saguaro cache, only rated a 2 for terrain... no way I had to climb up that crumbly rock mountain to retrieve the tin can at the base of a fallen old saguaro, did they forget I am soon to be in my .......
Great day lots of sunshine and lots of laughs

Ehrenberg

We are enjoying our stay at Colorado River Oasis in Ehrenberg, the weather is warm and the pool is lovely.

Today we went geocaching with Clyde and Jane smith into the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, it was a warm but fun day.

There were 22 caches along the road in and we found all but one.  It was called the Grizzly Trail.

They were all hidden in these little tobacco boxes, the brand being Grizzly.
We found a lovely little spot to have our picnic lunch.
The mountains in the background are enclosed in the Kofa park.
Here are a couple pictures of our park, a couple sitting enjoying the Colorado River.
Here we are parked right by the first palm tree.
And here is what I see when I sit in my compy chair looking out, not to hard to take.
