The Eve of Destruction

                                                                     The Eve of Destruction
                                                                  at the Pentiction Raceway

There are some places the guys should learn that they should never take Granny (Elaine) and one of them was last evening spent at the Penticton Raceway.  The first part of the evening was fine, lots of good car racing with a few crashes but nothing serious, a little noisy but what the heck.  Then they bring out this big water tanker and wet the track down, it is ashpalt not dirt so it is not dusty.
Then comes out the main entertainment, about 7 vehicles pulling boats, two pulling travel trailers, two trucks, and serveral other cars.  The object (I think) to go until there is nothing left.
Here is one car with moose antlers on top.

Oh I did not quite get the whole travel trailer in the shot but you get the idea.

They went around the track as fast as they could, hitting each other and trying to make destruction.
Note the travel trailer in the background, he actually made that corner.
Meanwhile, as you can tell by the young boy protecting himself, there was junk flying everywhere.

One travel trailer came apart and the camping part came off the wheels, only to be hit by someone else and blown to smithereens

This was a boat, who would know

Here are the winners, yes I lasted until it was over, just because I was to scared to death to leave the grandstands unless I got killed trying to get out of there.

This was not on my bucket list and I feel very fortunate to even have a bucket list after this evening, the pictures are bright but it was getting dark and there were sparks flying everywhere.
Next time boys suggest I stay home,...... signed Grannie
